Ծնվել է Ալեքսանդրապոլում (այժմ` Գյումրի): 1941թ-ից եղել է Լենինականի ֆիլհարմոնիայի մենակատար և բալետմայստեր, 1949-51թթ` երկաթուղայինների Սևյանի անվան մշակույթի պալատի (1951թ.` տնօրեն) երգի-պարի, 1951թ-ից` «Շիրակ» (2000թ-ից` Ա.Շաբոյանի անվան) ժողովրդական պարի անսամբլների գեղարվեստական ղեկավարը: Բեմադրել է «Հովիվների պարը», «Նազպար», «Քոչարի», «Շորորա», «Գյումրվա հարսանիք», «Ալագյազ» և այլ պարեր, «Փառք հայրենիքին» սյուիտը: Հեղինակել է «Կոմիտաս», «Երազ տեսա», «Ցնծություն» և այլ պարային բեմավորումներ: 1965թ. նկարահանվել է «Շիրակի մեղեդիները» ֆիլմում: Ղեկավարել է Շիրակի, Ջավախքի պարային անսամբլներ, ստեղծել պարարվեստի իր դպրոցը: 1961թ. արժանացել է Հայաստանի վաստակավոր արտիստի, 1996թ.` Գյումրիի պատվավոր քաղաքացու կոչումներին, 1999թ.` ՀՀ «Մովսես Խորենացի» մեդալի: Մահացել է Գյումրիում:

Ծնվել է Շուշիում: Ավարտել է Բաքվի տնտեսագիտական ինստիտուտը: 1936թ. Դոնի Ռոստովի երգի և պարի օլիմպիադայում գրավել է առաջին մրցանակ: 1937թ. ավարտել է Բաքվի ժողովրդական պարի անսամբլը և դարձել մենապարուհի: 1938թ. Մոսկվայում Ավետիք Իսահակյանը, նկատելով աղջկա տաղանդը, համառորեն պնդել է տեղափոխվել Հայաստան: 1942թ. դարձել է Հայաստանի պետական ֆիլհարմոնիայի մենակատար: Հայրենական Մեծ պատերազմի տարիներին երգ ու պարով ոգեշնչել է 89-րդ հայկական Թամանյան դիվիզիայի մարտիկներին: 1946թ-ից աշխատել է Արտեմի Այվազյանի ղեկավարած ջազ նվագախմբում և ելույթներ ունեցել Խորհրդային Միության բազմաթիվ քաղաքներում և արտերկրում` Վիետնամ, Բիրմա, Չինաստան, Բելգիա, Լյուքսեմբուրգ, Ֆրանսիա, Ինդոնեզիա, Նեպալ, Հնդկաստան, Պակիստան, Բեյրութ, Եգիպտոս, Կանադա: 1981թ. և 1991թ. հյուրախաղերով հանդես է եկել Վաշինգթոնում: Արտիստուհու հեղինակած ամենասիրված երգերից էր «Նախշուն բաջի»-ն: 1955-87թթ եղել է «Բարեկամություն» երգի և պարի անսամբլի գեղարվեստական ղեկավարը: Բեմական գործունեության 50 տարիների ընթացքում կատարել է աշխարհի մոտ 70 ազգերի տասնյակ երգեր ու պարեր: 1961թ. արժանացել է Հայաստանի ժողովրդական արտիստի կոչման: Մահացել է Երևանում:

Ծնվել է 1980թ. մայիսի 18-ին, Երևանում: 1996թ. ավարտել է թիվ 176 միջնակարգ դպրոցը և ընդունվել Երևանի Հումանիտար ինստիտուտի լեզվաբանական ֆակուլտետի ճապոներեն լեզվի բաժին, ապա` «Դավիդ Անհաղթ» համալսարանի արաբերեն լեզվի դիվանագիտության բաժին, որոնք ավարտել է 2000թ.: 1997-2002թթ սովորել է Երևանի Խ.Աբովյանի անվան պետական մանկավարժական համալսարանի կուլտուրայի ֆակուլտետի պարային բաժինը` պարուսույց-մանկավարժ որոկավորումով: 2002-04թթ ծառաել է ՀՀ ՊՆ Սպայի տան «Սարդարապատ» ռազմահայրենասիրական պետական պարի համույթում: 1994թ-ից պարել է իր ծնողների կողմից ստեղծած «Գոլդ Սթարս» պարային ստուդիայում, որի տնօրենն է: Ստուդիայի հետ մասնակցել է մի շարք միջազգային փառատոների և արժանացել ոսկե մեդալների և պատվոգրերի, որոնցից են` Հորդանանի միջազգային փառատոնի ոսկե մեդալ (2007թ.), Բաթումի մանկապատանեկան միջազգային մրցույթի ոսկե մեդալ (2007թ.), Եգիպտոսի Իսմաիլիա միջազգային փառատոնի ոսկե մեդալ (2008թ.), Սիրիայի Դամասկոս քաղաքի քաղաքապետի կողմից մենահամերգի հրավերք (2008թ.), Բաթումի միջազգային մրցույթ-փառատոնի ոսկե մեդալ (2012թ.), Բուլղարիայի Նեսեբր-Ֆոլկլոր պարերի Եվրոպայի 3-րդ և 4-րդ առաջնությունների ոսկե մեդալ, «Ոսկե Օրփեոս» և Եվրոպայի ֆոլկլոր պարերի չեմպիոնի կոչում (2012թ., 2013թ.), Բարսելոնայի միջազգային ֆոլկլոր պարերի փառատոնի ոսկե մրցանակ (2013թ.): 2009-11թթ մենահամերգներով հանդես է եկել Թուրքիայի միջերկրական ծովափնյա մի շարք քաղաքներում: Ֆոլկլոր փառատոների համաշխարային ասոցիացիայի կողմից արժանացել է «Մաեստրո» կոչմանը և դարձել է ասոցիացիայի պատվավոր անդամ: Եղել է ավելի քան 25 երկրներում, համագործակցել միջազգային մի շարք մշակութային կառույցների հետ, հայկական և արտասահմանյան էստրադայի երգիչ-երգչուհիների հետ` Յուրի Շատունովի, «Լասկովի Մայ» խմբի, Սոսո Պավլիաշվիլիի, Ավրահամ Ռուսսոյի, «Սպիտակ և Սև» դուետի և այլոց: 2013թ-ից հրավիրվել է արտերկրում կազմակերպվող միջազգային մրցույթներին` որպես միջազգային կարգի մրցավար և Ուկրաինայի Կիև քաղաքի միջազգային մրցույթ-փառատոնին` որպես ժուրիի պատվավոր անդամ, որտեղ արժանացել հատուկ շնորհակալության և պատվոգրի կազմակերպիչների և Կիևի քաղաքապետի կողմից: Հանդիսանում է նաև Ֆոլկլոր փառատոների եվրոպական ասոցիացիայի պատվավոր, CID-Unesco պարի միջազգային խորհրդի անդամ, ֆոլկլոր պարերի միջազգային կարգի մրցավար: 2013թ-ից Միջազգային փառատոների կովկասյան ասոցիացիայի նախագահն է:

Armen Ohanian (Armenian: Արմեն Օհանյան),
born Sophia Emanouely Pirboudaghian (1887 – 1976?)
was an Armenian dancer, actress, writer and translator.
Armen Ohanian was born in Shamakha, then part of the Russian Empire (now in Azerbaijan) to an upper-class Armenian family. A devastating earthquake in 1902 caused her family to move to Baku, where she attended a Russian school. She graduated in 1905, the same year the anti-Armenian pograms, which she witnessed, caused the death of her father, Emanuel. She was hurriedly married to an Armenian Iranian doctor, Haik Ter-Ohanian, but the marriage ended within a year. She began her acting career as Sophia Ter-Ohanian in the theater group of the Armenian Cultural Union of Baku in 1906. She moved to Moscow in 1908 and studied plastic arts at the Nelidova School, while performing her first dances at the Maly Theatre.
After a short stint at the Tbilisi Opera in 1909, where she appeared for the first time as Armen Ohanian, she traveled again to Iran, where she performed as a dancer and actress during the last period of the Iranian Constitutional Revolution. She was among the founders of the Persian National Theater in Tehran. In April 1910 she organized a musical and literary gala in cooperation with the Persian Women Benevolent Association. For the first time, Iranian women were able to play on the stage and watch a film. In May 1910 she produced and directed Nikolai Gogol’s The Government Inspector in Persian, playing the role of Maria Antonovna.
While in Iran, she perfected her skills in Oriental dances. After leaving the country and touring Egypt and the Ottoman Empire, she was hired to perform in London in 1911. From then to the late 1920s she would become quite a sought-after name, as part of the craze for exotic dances that swept the Western cultural scene at the time. By using methods of “free dance” developed by the famous American dancer Isadora Duncan, she created her own choreographies based on Armenian and Iranian music. Many of her dances, such as “Salome,” “At the Temple of Anahit,” “Treason,” “The Matchmaker,” “Haschich,” “The Great Khan of Shamakha,” “Towards Nirvana,” and others, fascinated the European public. She performed extensively in London, Paris, Brussels, Milan, Sofia, Madrid, and other European cities, as well as in the United States and Mexico. Her performances were widely covered in the press and met the approval of writers such as Maurice Maeterlinck, Rene Ghil, Claude Anet, and others. 
After settling in Paris in 1912, Ohanian made her first forays into literature, and her poems and autobiographical sketches eventually found their way in the press. Her first book, The Dancer of Shamakha, was published in 1918 in French, prefaced by Anatole France. The book was translated into English, Spanish, German, Swedish, and Finnish. She later published other memoirs in French, such as In the Claws of Civilization in 1921, The Laughs of A Snake Charmer in 1931; an account of her 1927 sojourn in the Soviet Union, In the Sixth Part of the World: Journey into Russia in 1928; and a novel, The Soloist of His Majesty, in 1929.
Her love life in the twilight of the Belle Epoque was no less eventful than her artistic career. She had relationships with various people such as painter Émile Bernard, writers Maurice Barres and Andre Germain, and a short-lived affair with American writer Natalie Barney.[1] She married for the second time to Mexican economist and diplomat Makedonio Garza in 1922, and after living in Hamburg, Mexico, New York, Paris, Moscow, London, and Madrid, the couple settled in Mexico in 1934.
The decline of her dance career did not deter Ohanian from pursuing cultural and political interests. Having become interested in the native dances of Mexico during a brief trip in 1922-1923, she founded a school of dance in Mexico City in 1936. Committed to communism since the mid-1920s, Ohanian was an active member of the Mexican Communist Party. In collaboration with her husband, she translated many books from Russian into Spanish, but also became a prolific author in her own right with books on Russian, Soviet, and Mexican literature. In 1946 she published Happy Armenia, a book on Soviet Armenia in Spanish, which marked a renewal of interest in her Armenian ancestry. Among her literary output, however, her work of choice was a poem, “My Dream as an Exile,” written in Armenian and published in 1952 in a journal of Paris.
Ohanian made a comeback in the Mexican dance scene in 1940-1941 and 1946, snf appeared on the stage in Paris in 1949 and 1953, when she was well into her sixties. During a second visit to the Soviet Union in 1958 with her husband, they traveled briefly to Yerevan, Armenia, where she offered part of her private files to the Museum of Literature and Arts. After returning to Mexico, she continued to write, translate, and publish until 1969, when she came out with her last volume of memoirs in Spanish.

Ծնվել է 1928թ. ապրիլի 18-ին, Երևանում: 1965թ-ից ղեկավարել է պարային և ազգագրական բազմաթիվ ինքնագործ և ժողովրդական անսամբլներ, հավաքել ու գրանցել է շուրջ 250 պար: 1974թ-ից եղել է Երևանի Թ.Ալթունյանի անվան հայկական ժողովրդական երգի ու պարի անսամբլի պարային խմբի ղեկավարն ու բալետմայստերը: 1970թ-ից եղել է Երևանի ժողովրդական ստեղծագործության տան պարարվեստի բաժնի մեթոդիստ, հետագայում` նաև բաժնի տնօրենը, 1980թ-ից` Հայաստանի մշակույթի նախարարության ժողստեղծագործության և կուլտլուսավորական աշխատանքների գիտամեթոդական կենտրոնի պարարվեստի բաժնի բալետմայստեր: 1988թ-ից դասավանդում է Երևանի Խ.Աբովյանի անվան պետական մանկավարժական համալսարանի կուլտուրայի ֆակուլտետի պարարվեստի մանկավարժության ամբիոնում: Հայաստանի ազգային պարարվեստի և պարագետների միության անդամ է: 8 անգամ արժանացել է համամիութենական և հանրապետական ինքնագործունեության փառատոների դափնեկրի կոչման: 1973թ. արժանացել է Հայաստանի վաստակավոր արտիստի կոչման, 2013թ.` ՀՀ «Հայրենիքին մատուցած ծառայությունների համար» 1-ին աստիճանի մեդալի, 2017թ.՝ Հայաստանի ժողովրդական արտիստի կոչման:

Ծնվել է Երևանում: Եղել է պարուհի Թերեզա Գրիգորյանի ամուսինը: 1940թ. ավարտել է Երևանի պարարվեստի ուսումնարանը: Մեկ տարի սովորել է Լենինգրադի պարարվեստի ուսումնարանում, իսկ Հայրենական Մեծ պատերազմի տարիներին աշխատել է Անդրկովկասի զինվորական օկրուգի պարի անսամբլում` ելույթներ ունենալով զինվորների համար: 1948թ. ավարտելով Լենինգրադի պարարվեստի ուսումնարանը` ընդունվել է Երևանի Ա.Սպենդիարյանի անվան օպերայի և բալետի ազգային ակադեմիական թատրոն, որտեղ աշխատել է որպես մենակատար, պարուսույց, բալետմեյստեր: Հանդես է եկել Բ.Ասաֆևի «Բախչիսարայի շատրվանը» (Նուրալի), Ա.Խաչատրյանի «Գայանե» (Կարեն), Ա.Սպենդիարյանի «Խանդութ» (Աշուղ), Լ.Մինկուսի «Դոն Կիխոտ» (Բազիլ) և այլ բալետներում: Բեմադրել է Գ.Հախինյանի «Ախթամար», «Ուռենի», «Լոռեցի Սաքոն», Բ.Սակիլարիի «Չոփչոփիկը», Հ.Մուրադյանի «Կարմիր գլխարկը», Ի.Մորոզովի «Բժիշկ Այբոլիտը», պարեր Ա.Սպենդիարյանի «Ալմաստ», Ա.Տիգրանյանի «Անուշ», Տ.Չուխաճյանի«Արշակ Բ» և այլ ներկայացումներ: 1962թ. եղել է Հայաստանի Պարի պետական անսամբլի գեղարվեստական ղեկավարն ու գլխավոր բալետմեյստերը, 1963-83թթ` Երևանի Թ.Ալթունյանիանվան երգի-պարի պետական անսամբլի գլխավոր բալետմեյստերը: 1959թ. նրա նախաձեռնությամբ Երևանի պարարվեստի ուսումնարանում բացվել է ժողովրդական պարի բաժին, որը ղեկաավարել է երկար տարիներ` ստեղծելով հայկական պարի ուսուցման ծրագիր: Մասնակցել է նաև Կիրովականի (այժմ` Վանաձոր) և Արցախի պարի պետական անսամբլների ստեղծմանը, Կանադայում կազմակերպել է պարային համույթ: 1976թ. հանդիսացել է Երևանի Խ.Աբովյանի անվան մանկավարժական համալսարանի պարարվեստի բաժնի ստեղծման նախաձեռնողներից մեկը: 1986թ. ստեղծել է «Կռունկ» պարային համույթը, որի համար բեմադրել է լավագույն պարային համարներ` Ա.Բաբաջանյանի երաժշտությամբ «Էլեգիա», Կոմիտասի «Մոկաց հարսներ», Խ.Ավետիսյանի «Հուշեր», Մ.Փրիդոնյանի «Հայոց աղջիկներ», ժողովրդական երաժշտությամբ «Հարսանիք», մեկ գործողությամբ «Քաջ Նազար» բալետը, Սայաթ-Նովայի երաժշտությամբ զուգապար, ազգագրական պարերի շարաններ: 1956թ. արժանացել է Հայաստանի վաստակավոր, 1980թ.` ժողովրդական արտիստի կոչման: Մահացել է Երևանում:

Ծնվել է Նոր Բայազետում (այժմ` Գավառ): 1926թ. ավարտել է Երևանի պարարվեստի ստուդիան: 1927թ. եղել է նույն ստուդիայի բալետմայստեր, 1927-32թթ` Վահրամ Արիստակեսյանի ազգագրական պարի անսամբլի, 1932-38թթ` Երևանի օպերայի և բալետի թատրոնի բալետային խմբի արտիստ, 1938-58թթ` հայկական ժողովրդական երգի-պարի, 1958-66թթ` Հայաստանի պարի անսամբլների, 1966-68թթ` Հայհամերգի գլխավոր բալետմայստեր, 1968-76թթ` ժողովրդական ստեղծագործության տան, 1977թ-ից` ժողովրդական ստեղծագործության հանարապետական կենտրոնի պարարվեստի բաժնի վարիչը: Մեծ ավանդ է ներդրել հայկական ազգային պարը պրոֆեսիոնալ բեմում ցուցադրելու գործում: Բեմադրել է հայկական ազգային պարեր` «Քոչարի», «Ուզունդարա», «Տրնգի», «Նազելի». «Չեմ ու չեմ» և այլն, որոնք ազգային պարի բեմականացման դասական նմուշներ են: 1957թ. արժանացել է Մոսկվայի Երիտասարդության և ուսանողների համաշխարհային 6-րդ փառատոնի 1-ին մրցանակին, 1965թ.` Հայաստանի ժողովրդական արտիստի կոչման: Մահացել է Երևանում:

Ծնվել է 1944թ. օգոստոսի 17-ին, Երևանում: Պարուսույց, բեմադրիչ Աշոտ Ասատուրյանի կինն է: 1954-63թթ սովորել է Երևանի պարարվեստի ուսումնարանում՝ Ա.Բոգանկովայի դասարանում: 1963-92թթ աշխատել է Երևանի Ա.Սպենդիարյանիանվան օպերայի և բալետի ազգային ակադեմիական թատրոնում՝ որպես առաջատար մենապարուհի: Հանդես է եկել բալետային հետևյալ ներկայացումներում` Պ.Չայկովսկու «Կարապի լիճ» (Օդետա-Օդիլիա), Ա.Ադանի «Ժիզել» (Ժիզել), Ս.Պրոկոֆևի «Ռոմեո և Ջուլիետ» (Ջուլիետ), «Մոխրոտը» (Մոխրոտ), Լ.Մինկուսի «Դոն Կիխոտ» (Կիտրի), Ա.Խաչատրյանի «Գայանե» (Գայանե), «Սպարտակ» (Ֆրիգիա, Էգինա), «Դիմակահանդես» (Նինա), Է.Հովհաննիսյանի «Անտունի» (Խումար), Գ.Եղիազարյանի «Արա Գեղեցիկ և Շամիրամ» (Շամիրամ), «Անուրջների լիճը» (Անաիս), Ա.Սպենդիարյանի «Երեք արմավենի» (Արմավենի) և այլն: Մասնակցել է բազմաթիվ բեմականացումների: 1993-97թթ աշխատել է Խարկովի Լիսենկոյի անվան օպերայի և բալետի ակադեմիական թատրոնում: Պարել է Պ.Չայկովսկու «Շչելկունչիկ» (Մաշա), Ա.Ադանի «Ժիզել» (Ժիզել), Ս.Պրոկոֆևի «Ռոմեո և Ջուլիետ» (Ջուլիետ) բալետներում: 1990թ. ավարտել է Լենինգրադի Ռիմսկի-Կորսակովի անվան պետական կոնսերվատորիայի բալետմայստերական բաժինը` բալետմայստեր-փորձավար մասնագիտությամբ: 1997թ-ից դասավանդում է Երևանի պարարվեստի պետական ուսումնարանում: 1999թ-ից աշխատում է Երևանի Ա.Սպենդիարյանի անվան օպերայի և բալետի ազգային ակադեմիական թատրոնում` որպես փորձավար: Հյուրախաղերով հանդես է եկել աշխարհի մի շարք երկրներում` Կանադա, Արգենտինա, Բրազիլիա, Մեքսիկա, Ֆրանսիա, Իտալիա, Իսպանիա, Գերմանիա, Լեհաստան և Իրան և այլուր: 1978թ. արժանացել է Հայաստանի ժողովրդկան արտիստի կոչման:

Hamlet Hovhannisyan- winner of Pan-armenian and international festivals.. He was born in 1984 (Yerevan, Armenia).
From 2004 to 2008 – dancer of the popular “Milen show-ballet” in armenia.
From 2009 to 2012 – choreographer of the dance ensemble at the cultural center of Yerevan State University (Armenia).
In 2012 (Yerevan) worked as a dance teacher at the «Dance summer scool» organized for the armenian choreographers of Diaspora by the Ministry of Diaspora of RA and YSU cultural center.
From 2012 till now- the art-director and choreographer of the exemplary song and dance ensemble “Araks” at the Honorary consulate of the Republic of Armenia in Kharkov (Ukraine).
Under his creative direction of the exemplary song and Dance Ensemble “Araks” has significantly expanded its creative repertoire stylized dance show “Artashat”, “Sevan”, graceful women and courageous dances – “Nakhshun Baggi”, “Artsakhi”, “Sareri ovin mernem” (I’ll Die for the Wind of the Mountains), Dance Warriors -” Yarhushta, Kochari, Kertsi”, ” shepherds” and other dance performances. Also in the ensemble’s repertoire came “Kintauri” – dance-scene from the life of Tbilisian Armenians, stylized choreography “Faith” – dedicated to making Christian Armenia, “Remember and demand”- dedicated to the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Empire, “Adjarian” dance, “Shalakho” dance, “Tulips”, “Sardarapat” and other folk, traditional and stylized dances.
In 2014 Hamlet Hovhannisyan in Moscow received a gold medal of the Union of Armenians of Russia. From 2016 is a member of the International Dance Council CID at UNESCO.

Mkrtich Hovhannisyan was born in Gyumri, Armenia. In 2006 he graduated from the State Institute of Theatre and Movie, Department of Stage Directing. Afterwards, he did post-graduate studies at the Department of Theatre Study, where he is a candidate for a PhD.
Since 2006, Mkrtich has been teaching history of Russian, Armenian and foreign dramatic art and art criticism at the Institute of Theatre in Gyumri. At the same time, he is head of the Department of Arts History and Science at the same Institute.
Since 1998, he has been a dancer in an Armenian folk dance group. Mkrtich has produced several dramas at the Drama Theatre of Gyumri. He has also written several movie scene scripts.
Mkrtich has participated in many festivals and cultural events all around the world. He describes himself as “a person of the arts,” and says he is devoted to the arts.

Ծնվել է ՀՀ Դիլիջան քաղաքում: Եղել է պարող, պարուսույց Ազատ Ղարիբյանի կինը: 1941թ. ավարտել է Երևանի պարարվեստի ուսումնարանը` Լ.Վոինովա-Շիկանյանի դասարանը: 1940-62թթ աշխատել է Երևանի Ա.Սպենդիարյանի անվան օպերայի և բալերի ազգային ակադեմիական թատրոնում: 1946-48թթ վերապատրասվել է Մոսկվայի Մեծ թատրոնում` Ե.Գերդտի դասարանում: Հանդես է եկել հետյալ բալետային ներկայացումներում` Ա.Սպենդիարյանի«Խանդութ» (Չմշկիկ), Ա.Խաչատրյանի «Գայանե» (Նունե), «Սպարտակ» (Ֆրիգիա), Բ.Ասաֆևի «Բախչիսարայի շատրվանը» (Զարեմա), Ա.Գլազունովի «Ռայմոնդա» (Սիբիլլա) և այլն: 1955թ. ավարտելով Երևանի գեղարվեստաթատերական ինստիտուտի դերասանական ֆակուլտետը, Երևանի պարարվեստի ուսումնարանում հիմնել է դերասանի վարպետություն առարկան: 1956թ. մասնակցել է Մոսվայում կայացած հայ արվեստի տասնօրյակին, որտեղ կատարել է Գոհարի դերը Գ.Եղիազարյանի «Սևան» բալետում, Շամիրամի դերը Տ.Չուխաճյանի «Արշակ Բ» օպերայի ինտերմեդիայում և արժանացել «Պատվո նշան» շքանշանի: 1972-74թթ եղել է Երևանի Ա.Սպենդիարյանի անվան օպերայի և բալետի թատրոնի բալետային խմբի ղեկավարը: 1974-2004թթ ղեկավարել է Երևանի պարարվեստի պետական ուսումնարանը, 1980թ.` Երևանի թատերական ինստիտուտի բեմական շարժման ամբիոնը (1995թ-ից` դոցենտ): 1981թ. արժանացել է երկրորդ «Պատվո նշան» շքանշանին: 1986թ. Ազատ Ղարիբյանի հետ հիմնել է «Կռունկ» պարային անսամբլը, իսկ ամուսնու մահից հետո, շարունակել է ղեկավարել անսամբլը: Ուսումնարանը ղեկավարելու տարիներին ուսումնարանի սաները մասնակցել են բազմաթիվ համամիութենական և միջազգային փառատոների և մրցույթների` արժանանալով դափնեկրի կոչումների: 1998թ. նրա անունով կոչվել է աստղ: 1963թ. արժանացել է Հայաստանի արվեստի վաստակավոր գործչի, 1968թ.` ժողովրդական արտիստի կոչման: Մահացել է Երևանում:
Aristakesyan Vahram (born 04(16).04.1899, Erzeroum – died 18.07.1978, Yerevan) was an Armenian Soviet dance teacher, ballet master and a doctor. He was bestowed upon the title of the Honoured Figure of Culture of the Soviet Socialistic Republic of Armenia (SSRA) in 1958.
During 1920-1922 worked in the dance school of Armenian professor V. Etaryani (in Tbilisi), at the same time having graduated from Special School for Dance Teachers (directed by Italian ballet master A. F. Inochentsi) affiliated to Narkompros (National Commissariat for Education) of Georgia.
In 1922 V. Aristakesyan formed the choreographic studio affiliated to Georgian Narkompros. He worked as a headmaster and teacher, performed as ballet artist in Georgian State Opera House.
The choreographic studio affiliated to Georgian Narkompros (currently known as Yerevan Choreographic College) was founded in 1924 and was directed by him until 1932. Armenian National Dance Ensemble that under V. Aristakesyan’s direction and participation won the first place awards in All Union Sports Festival (1928, Moscow) and the First Transcaucasian Olympiad (1934, Tbilisi), was formed in the same studio in 1925. Aristakesyan performed in the Ensemble as the best soloist of Armenian and Caucasian dances.
In 1926 Delibes’ “Coppélia” was staged by the efforts of apprentices studying in choreographic studio (the first ballet performance staged in Armenia).
From 1932-1938 V. Aristakesyan worked as the ballet master of Armenian Opera and Ballet Theatre after A. Spendiaryan and the dance producer of Spendiaryan’s “Almast” (1933) and Tigranyan’s “Anuosh” (1935) operas.
In 1957 V. Aristakesyan created a self-performing national dance group in Ashnak village (Talin marz). The group became the winner of Sixth International Festival held in Moscow in 1957. By his efforts various national dances have been rearranged and staged for popular dance ensembles of Armenia.
Vahram Aristakesyan died in 1978.

The Second International Dance Festival “ARMENIA” is inviting you to take a part!
The festival take place one of the picturesque sights of Armenia, in the city of Tsaxkadzor, which is rich of its nature, notable places and historical monuments. For introducing with this marvelous city of Armenia, the ensembles of dance will participate in historical excursions.
During these excursions in each group will be join excurse director with the cognition of Russian and English languages , who will introduce them with the historical events and places.
The festival will be held from 1-6 October 2015.
The main conditions:
The members will live in hotels or in hostels according to their will (Double Room, Triple Room, Quadruple Room). The food three time a day. The residence and food for one person is the 3 star hotel is cost 150 euro, in
resorts is cost 120 euro.
Till the country the groups are reach in their own amount. They also pay for their transport movement during festival.
All the members must have health insurance, also the whole medical and personal costs are pay members. Transfer – airport – hotel – airport.
The submitted transport movement by organizers for one group is cost – bus 250 euro – micro – bus 150 euro.

Hamazkayin cyprus “Oshagan” chapter’s Sipan dance group is under the artistic directions of Mr krikor keleshian,from lebanon.

The Armenian cultural and educational dance group club of “Hamazkayin”, located in the Armenian community of Greece consists of three groups : “Nairi”, “Nanor”, “Maralo”. The main goal of this dance group is to maintain the national identity, the cultural tradition and to present the Armenian culture by establishing choirs, theatrical and dance groups. The nature of the dance group is dancing Armenian folk dances as well as the improvisation of some dances based on Armenian folk dances.
In 1995 a professional choreographer named Hovanes Chatsikyan was called in Athens and took over the dance group.
Since 2011 and on the choreographies of the group are being done by Edgar Egyan.
Dance Performances have taken place in Athens and Thessaloniki (theatres:Dora Stratou,Brachon,Akropol,Municipal theatre of Piraeus,Roes,Katrakeio,Athinaikon,Miki Theodoraki,Kalouta,Delfinario,Hellenic American College,College Of Athens,Concert Hall of Thessaloniki) with the leading performance in Herodium. Армянские танцы – это выражение характера народа! Корни национальной хореографии происходят из глубокой древности.
В давние времена, жители Армении поклонялись языческим богам, что в значительной мере повлияло на многие движения, которые по сей день сохранили древнее ритуально-культовое значение.
Школа танцев “Гарни” существует с 2015 года. Название нашего ансамбля выбрано не зря. Оно, конечно же, связано с Великим Храмом, находящимся на территории Армении, который 28 апреля 2011 года удостоился премии ЮНЕСКО-Греция.
Помимо традиционных армянских танцев, в нашей школе преподаются танцы народов Северного Кавказа и Закавказья!
Наш хореограф- Луара Марукян, победитель Всемирного конкурса “World Dance Olympiad”.
Следует отметить, что занятия посещаются не только представителями Кавказа и Закавказья, но также и другими нациями.

Третий международный фестиваль армянского танца «HAYORDIK» проходит 17 апреля 2016 года в течение 1 дня.
Условия проведения Фестиваля
Оплата дорожных расходов, проживание и питание иногородних участников за счет направляющей стороны.
Участие происходит на платной основе: за участие одного танцора – взнос 500 рублей, не включая руководителей ансамблей.
Возраст участников:
1. 7 – 14 лет;
2. 14 – 25 лет;
3. 25 – 40 лет;
4. 40 – 75 лет.
Участники до 10 апреля присылают на hayordik-festival@mail.ru 3 (три) версии номеров, которые будут готовы для представления на Фестивале. Согласно Положению Фестиваля, организаторы из этих трех номеров имеют право выбрать один для конкурсной части Фестиваля, второй для выступления на свободную тему, а третий будет решаться по факту. Данные меры принимаются для того, чтобы избежать повтора номеров и музыки.
Участники до 10 апреля должны прислать музыку на (адрес почты), так же иметь с собой на CD – носителе и USB – флеш накопителе в версии MP3 или WAV.
Участники до 10 апреля должны прислать на hayordik-festival@mail.ru презентацию своего ансамбля (слайд – шоу), продолжительностью 45 – 50 секунд, состоящую из фото/видео слайдов без музыки. Так же должны приложить письменный текст с описанием ансамбля (Откуда ансамбль? Сколько лет существует? Кто является руководителем? Достижения ансамбля.)
Организация Фестиваля
Фестиваль состоит из двух частей, разделенных антрактом:
1 часть – танцы на конкурсной основе;
2 часть – танцы на свободную тему.
Оценивать выступления участников будет профессиональное жюри на основе бальной системы.

Конкурсная часть Фестиваля проходит по пяти номинациям:

3. Сценическая культура
4. Артистизм
5. Приз зрительских симпатий
Награждение лауреатов
По каждой номинации предполагается определение трех победителей с присуждением дипломов лауреатов I, II, III степеней. Жюри имеет право присудить Гран-при.
Награждение и объявление благодарности будет проходить после окончания второй части Фестиваля, где всем участникам вручаются дипломы.

Ծնվել է Ուզբեկստանի Ֆերգանա քաղաքում: Հաճախել է Ուզբեկստանի երգի ու պարի ազգային թատրոն: Մեծ բեմ բարձրացել է 12 տարեկանում: 1921թ. ընդունվել է Տաշքենդի ռուսական բալետի դպրոց: 1925թ. ավարտել է Մոսկվայի թատերական ուսումնարանը: 1926-28թթ պարել է Տաշքենդի երաժշտական-էթնոգրաֆիկ անսամբլում: 1928-34թթ մասնակցել է Ուզբեկստանի մի քանի քաղաքներում երաժշտական դրամատիկական թատրոնների հիմնադրմանը: Եղել է Ուզբեկստանի երաժշտադրամատիկական թատրոնի բալետային ստուդիայի հիմնադիրը: 1935թ. մասնակցել է Լոնդոնում անցկացվող ազգային պարերի առաջին միջազգային փառատոնին` արժանանալով առաջին մրցանակի և անձամբ Մեծ-Բրիտանիայի թագուհու ձեռքով պարգևատրվել ոսկե մեդալով: Պատերազմից հետո շարունակել է համերգաշարերով հանդես գալ աշխարի տարբեր մայրցամաքներում: Նրա պարային համարները ուղեկցվել են իր իսկ գրած երաժշտությամբ և սեփական կատարումներով: 1941թ. արժանացել է ԽՍՀՄ Պետական մրցանակի, ապա` 6 անգամ Լենինի անվան շքանշանի, մի շարք այլ մեդալների և պարգևների: 1956թ. արժանացել է ԽՍՀՄ ժողովրդական արտիստի կոչման: 1986թ. Nevarte Hamparian
BRONX, NY—She has been called “the matron saint of Armenian folk dance,” “a ballerina par excellence,” and “one of the great personalities of our time.”
Nevarte Hamparian is all of these and more. And on Saturday, October 2, 2010, nearly 100 attendees — made up of dancers, musicians, folk devotees and clergy – honored the 84 year-old doyenne of dance for her contributions to the cultural advancement of the Armenian people as the Co-Founder and Director of the Nayiri Dance Group of New York (not to be confused with the eponymously named NY Hamazkayin dance group formed in recent years).
The testimonial — featuring a luncheon, guest speakers, musical tributes, a DVD presentation and festive dancing — was held at Pashalian Hall of St. Illuminator’s Armenian Cathedral in New York City, a historic destination where the honoree and most of those present had been actively involved for many years.
After his invocation, Pastor of St. Illuminator’s Cathedral, Rev. Mesrob Lakissian praised Nevarte, saying that to create and direct an Armenian folk dance group in America is to carry out the safeguarding of a nation.
In his opening remarks, Master of Ceremonies, newspaper columnist and member of the Nayiri Group Charles Kasbarian spoke of the honoree’s remarkable life. A leading exponent of the Armenian folk dance and a founder of the Nayiri Dance Group, Nevarte Hamparian has for years presented this appealing art form to an increasingly wide public. Nevarte, born in New York City on August 1, 1926, learned many native Armenian dances from her father, Nazar Der Manuelian of Palou, and her mother, Zarouhi of Sepastia who were both born and raised in these provinces of Western Armenia.
At the age of four, Nevarte began taking dancing lessons from Madame Seda Suny, and later earned scholarships to study ballet at the Ballet Arts School of New York and Balanchine’s School of American Ballet. While Nevarte studied the Italian technique with the renowned ballet master, Maestro Vincenzo Celli, she was also receiving a musical education in piano, theory and voice. She is a graduate of the High School of Music and Art in New York City, and in 1943, this school elected her a member of The Honor Music League.
Nevarte’s first professional appearance, at age 16, was as a dancer with the Metropolitan Opera Company in the opera “Aida.” Prior to this, she was performing in numerous dance recitals and Armenian functions. One in particular was the Armenian opera “Anoush,” in which she played the title role in the ballet dream sequence. Nevarte was also a member of the Armenian Folk Dance Society of New York, and, at one time, served as its director.
In 1946, Nevarte joined the USO Camp Shows concert company of “Russian Revels.” This exciting group of highly trained artists, some of whom were members of the famed Don Cossacks, presented Russian and Gypsy songs and dances. Nevarte danced and sang with this group for two years, touring with the U.S.O. to United States military hospital bases from coast to coast.
As the co-founder and director of the Nayiri Dance Group, formed in 1963, Nevarte presented dances from the Armenian regions of Erzeroum, Erzinga, Palou, Sepastia, Shabin-Karakissar, Van, and elsewhere. She also choreographed exciting new dances for the group’s performances for “Armenian Day” at the New York World’s Fair in 1964 and 1965. The Nayiri Dance Group received a commemorative award from Gov. Nelson Rockefeller for its outstanding performance at the New York State Pavillion at The World’s Fair.
In the years that followed were a series of highly acclaimed concerts presenting authentic folk dances entitled “A Dance Trip Through Armenia” and which Nevarte conceived expressly for the Nayiri Dance Group. These performances took place at New York’s Carnegie Recital Hall, Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall and elsewhere. The group also performed at the Democratic National Convention in Atlantic City, and at President Lyndon B. Johnson’s birthday party in 1964, the Folk Festival of 50 Nations at Convention Hall in Philadelphia in 1966, the New York City Bicentennial Heritage Festival at Rockefeller Center in 1976, and the Pontifical Banquet for Catholicos Khoren I, among many other recitals.
The Nayiri Dance Group, which, at its apex, consisted of 30 adults and children, performed well into the mid-1990s for Armenian and American audiences. The group represented three generations of American-born Armenians whose knowledge of their heritage is derived from their forebears who survived the Armenian Genocide of 1915. Throughout these many years, Nevarte’s professional career and her training equipped her well for her role as an instructor, choreographer, dancer, director and mentor. With an impressive background from which to draw, Nevarte has done much to gain recognition for and to carry forward the historic Armenian dance. Nevarte is the wife of the late Nishan Hamparian, an art director, former principal of the St. Illuminator’s Armenian Saturday School, and set designer of the Nayiri Dance Group performance at Carnegie Recital Hall. They have three children, Aram — an award-winning natural body-builder and nutrition consultant. Anahid — an art director of children’s books, and Vartan — a classical pianist. Equally dedicated to preserving and perpetuating with great dignity and beauty the ancient and authentic folk dances of historic Armenia, Nishan, Aram, Anahid and Vartan all performed alongside Nevarte in the Nayiri Dance Group.
The tribute continued with the reading of a letter from Yerevan from Dr. Krikor Pidedjian, a member of Armenia’s Union of Composers and Ethnomusicologists. In it, he congratulated Nevarte, “the well-seasoned dancer, knowledgeable and talented dance instructor, artistic choreographer and leader, ethnographer and collector of folk dances,” and “considered himself fortunate to have had the honor to have worked with such a caliber of artist.”
The letter — read by Nevarte’s nephew, Raffi Hamparian of the ANCA and a Nayiri performer himself — was not limited to congratulatory expressions. Mastro Pidedjian reflected on his experience, as the Co-Founder of the Nayiri Dance Group and Founder/Director of the Kousan Chorus, of working with Nevarte to launch the thrilling performances of Western Armenian folk songs, dances and instrumental music at the NY World’s Fair. “Because of Mrs. Hamparian’s artistry and deep understanding of the soul of traditional Armenian folk dances,” he wrote, “we were able to present Armenian ethnographic songs and dances in their complete beauty and majesty to a huge Armenian and non-Armenian audience of tens of thousands.” Pidedjian also made a request: 
“The mushrooming of new Armenian dance groups in most Armenian communities should be a positive and hopeful development,” he wrote. “However, surprisingly enough, with the passing of the years, inside me grows a pain caused by my concerns that like other Western Armenian cultural heirs, Madame Hamparian’s invaluable collection of Western Armenian folk dances will be lost too with, regrettably, no return.” Pidedjian, the former Pastor of St. Illuminator’s Cathedral and former Principal of the Hovnanian School of NJ, asked Nevarte, “before the passage of many more years, to record her deep knowledge and understanding of our rapidly vanishing Western Armenian culture” to enrich the Armenian ethnographic treasury and serve as a cultural repository and teaching guide.
Another letter, this time from renowned tenor Armen Babamian, unable to attend the tribute, followed. Called the foremost interpreter of Sayat Nova in America by the late Maestro Mihran Toumajan (himself one of the famous “five” pupils of Gomidas) Maestro Babamian has been, among other accomplishments, leading choirs at St. Illuminator’s Cathedral and at Sts Vartanantz Church in NJ as their choirmaster for a total of 65 years. In his letter to Nevarte — read by her daughter, Anahid — Mestro Babamian said, “I’ve always admired your work. You always worked with precision and discipline, and it showed in the beauty in which your dancers performed. Our entire Armenian community has become richer because of you, and no one deserves recognition for her life’s accomplishments more than you.”
Wearing a Nayiri costume replicating the traditional dress of the Gesaria region of Armenia, author Lucine Kasbarian spoke of how, when the Nayiri Dance Group was created, Maestro Pidedjian brought back from Armenia books illustrating traditional dress. Costumes such as the one Kasbarian was wearing were meticulously replicated under the direction of fine dressmaker Annette Kouchakdjian, bringing a high level of authenticity and craftsmanship to the group’s attire. A member of the Nayiri Dance Group since age 4, Kasbarian spoke of Nevarte’s talent, training and leadership qualities and how Nevarte loved to teach and disseminate, “recognizing that these dances were part of our national inheritance, not sacred recipes to be taken to the grave, never to be prepared or savored again.” Kasbarian commented on how, “through an unfortunate accident, Nevarte lived most of her life with the use of only one eye. And yet with that one eye, she managed to see more than most of us did with two. Some would even say that as a dance instructor, Nevarte had eyes behind her head to catch even the slightest deviation from the assigned dance steps.” The crowning moment of Kasbarian’s training with Nevarte and the group occurred, Kasbarian continued, when Kasbarian had occasion to meet and dance with the Maratuk Ensemble of Armenia, who specializes in Western Armenian folk song and dance. She said the dancers were not familiar with the Bijo dance of Sepastia. Kasbarian became very emotional as she described how it gave her the greatest satisfaction to show it to them, knowing that in doing so, the Bijo could once again find its home in Armenia. Kasbarian concluded by thanking Nevarte for “allowing us to emotionally live in Western Armenia through dance when we could not physically live there.”
Ms. Kasbarian introduced a multi-talented musician whose original compositions have been translated into more than 13 languages by top singers and musicians throughout the world and who has even taken our ancestral melodies back to Western Armenia itself, Ara Dinkjian. In his remarks, Dinkjian said that “when we musicians here today play at a barahantes (dance party) and see people doing all these folk dances, I think we can say we know where they learned it: and it’s from you, Deegeen Nevarte.” Dinkjian continued, “Having traveled somewhat, I witnessed how in Dikrangerd, the people know one traditional dance. In Van, they have their one dance. But in America, you can go to an Armenian barahantes and see all of these folkdances danced by everyone, and that this may be the only place in the world where you can witness that.” He said Nevarte was the major reason that this has occurred and that we all owed her a great deal for it. Dinkjian also thanked Nevarte for the role she played in his career as a musician — hiring him at a very young age to accompany the dance group and for her role in giving him so much of his identity and a job today that he loves so much.
Dinkjian introduced a DVD for viewing, a videotaped dress rehearsal of the group preparing to perform at Carnegie Recital Hall in 1971. Dinkjian spent countless months locating sound recordings of Nayiri dance performances and applied his engineering skills to match sound to this silent footage. Where none existed, Dinkjian applied archival and customized music in synchronization, effectively bringing across the spirit of the group. At its best, the reconditioned footage is a historic dance document to be disseminated in the years to come.
Dr. John Vartan, the multi-talented master musician and university instructor with one of the largest collections in the world of Near Eastern instruments rose to say that he considered himself fortunate to be part of a group that had the opportunity to know Nevarte, perform with her, and share in our cultural heritage and group spirit.
John Berberian, considered to be one of the finest oud virtuosos in the world, played an exquisite piece in Nevarte’s honor. Also having performed with Nevarte, he called her a “torchbearer who has helped perpetuate our folk dances all these years.” If it weren’t for you and people like you,” said Berberian to the honoree, “my four year-old granddaughter would not be in an Armenian dance group today.”
In introducing another musician who had performed with Nevarte, the renowned folk singer Onnik Dinkjian, the Master of Ceremonies described the colorful way in which Dinkjian first came to St. Illuminator’s Cathedral from France to sing in the choir, and how he has, since then, become one of our most beloved singers of sacred and secular Armenian music. And, how “his popularity and love for his roots has, more than anyone we know, done more to bring the Dikranagerd identity to the world stage, and even back to Dikranagerd itself.” To express his sentiments for the occasion, Dinkjian magnificently sang Garod, a song of longing and exile.
Before Onnik’s son Ara performed his own tribute, Ara said, “while Nevarte taught us dance, she also taught me music, important songs, and who Gomidas was.” He said “Perhaps the most emotional event in my musical life occurred when I performed a concert in Hayastan. The thought of giving back to those who gave you your identity is almost too much to handle.” He said to Nevarte, “And here’s an opportunity for me to play for you the songs that you taught me,” he said, as he performed Gomidas’ “Erengi” and the folk melody, “Tarakama,” on the oud.
Der Moushegh, Pastor Emeritus of St. Illuminator Cathedral, spoke of his closeness to the Hamparian family, his admiration for Madame Nevarte’s dance instruction and preservation, and the thrill with which he first observed the Nayiri Dance Group perform in Whitinsville, MA many years ago. He marveled at the DVD’s restoration, and like John Vartan before him, urged its wide dissemination to inspire and educate others. He also recognized the elder-statesman of music, composer Vazgen Muradian, who was present to honor Nevarte. Also acknowledged were Nayiri Dance Group musicians, the late oud virtuoso George Mgrdichian, the late musical director Florence Mardirosian, and the noted oudist/vocalist Jack Baghsarian (now known as Archpriest Gomidas Baghsarian of the Sts. Vartanantz Church in Providence. R.I.) whose ecclesiastical duties prevented him from attending the tribute.
Nevarte received from St. Illuminator’s Cathedral a plaque honoring her for “profoundly enriching the cultural life of the Armenian-American community,” a rose bouquet and recording of Ballanchine ballerinas on behalf of all attendees, and various personal gifts.
After the cutting of cake, Nevarte thanked everyone present, noting how it was in Pashalian Hall that she witnessed her mother dance with her uncle — sister and brother, arm in arm — doing the Sepastia Bar, and how parishoners joined in to learn it. Then sister and brother performed the Bijo, another dance of Sepastia, effectively teaching the steps to the community. She reminisced about collecting “Manir, manir,” a spinning song from Sepastia, which she learned from the eldest female member of the family whom everyone called medz mairig (grandmother) – and choreographed a dance to complement it for the group’s repertoire. Nevarte also praised her musicians and dancers and in recalling her early loss of sight in one eye, reminded everyone that even when we think we have a handicap, we can always do more. Nevarte also announced her desire to resume dance group rehearsals with Lucine Kasbarian as her assistant director.
Musicians John Berberian, Noubar Boyajian (also a dancer with the Nayiri group), Ara and Onnik Dinkjian and John Vartan performed ensemble for everyone’s dancing and listening enjoyment, specifically playing music from the dance group’s repertoire.
Master of Ceremonies Kasbarian summarized the contributions of the guest of honor in his closing remarks by noting that “Nevarte did for folk dance what Gomidas did for folk music: she took the raw material generated in the villages of historic Armenia and without introducing any extraneous matter that would have disturbed the purity of the folk creation, transcribed them with great taste and skill for presentation on the stage for people to see what a great culture we Armenians possess. Nevarte, we salute you.”
The tribute, skillfully recorded by Haig Sarajian and Eric Holmes, will be prepared for viewing — along with the Carnegie Hall performance – to be circulated at a future time to the Armenian Library and Museum of America, the Smithsonian Museum and various repositories in Armenia.
